Tom Hanks - Supporters of Prop 8 Un-American

“The truth is this takes place in Utah, the truth is these people are some bizarre offshoot of the Mormon Church, and the truth is a lot of Mormons gave a lot of money to the church to make Prop-8 happen,” he told Tarts. “There are a lot of people who feel that is un-American, and I am one of them. I do not like to see any discrimination codified on any piece of paper, any of the 50 states in America, but here's what happens now. A little bit of light can be shed, and people can see who's responsible, and that can motivate the next go around of our self correcting Constitution, and hopefully we can move forward instead of backwards. So let's have faith in not only the American, but Californian, constitutional process.”

Quote taken from here.

Seems Hanks encourages faith in everything ... EXCEPT God's Word.

  1. It seems to me Hanks is being judgmental and intolerant!

It is clear that being judgmental and intolerant is O.K. from the politically correct crowd, but not O.K. from those who oppose them.

  2. Strange (sort of). A few years ago, I recall reading an interview with Hanks in which he claimed to be a born-again Christian. I wondered how he could star in a movie like the Da Vinci Code, which is based on an heretical premise.....but there you go.

  3. It's interesting that you consider his support of human rights as evidence he isn't "born again."

  4. Wow Skeptimal: Are you supporting the theology of the new birth? What exactly is that?

Can you defend the position that gay marriage is a "human right"? What are human rights? Are they absolute or are they subjective?

It's not Hanks support of "human rights" (whatever those are) that is the evidence that he isn't "born again" It is his rejection of God's Word that is the evidence.
