Postmodernism and Tolerance

I wonder how long it will be until the average postmodern layman realizes the inconsistencies and weaknesses associated with their worldview and particularly those associated with the issue of "tolerance"?

...for just as it has taken decades for the foundations and tenets to pass from the intellectuals and academians to the average layman, it's clear the weaknesses of the positions associated with this worldview are also going to take some time to be realized and to sink in... for as the intellectuals and elites have realized and to a great degree have acknowledged these weaknesses and are trying to figure a way out (though to date they have not be able to do so), the average layman (ignorant of the inconsistencies and weaknesses) still spouts the beliefs as if they hold water and as if others are less virtuous because they oppose or do not hold their views.
