As a Catholic, I find troubling the fact that Gene Cook employs a literalist, rather than plenary, perspective to Biblical interpretation. For example, he states that evolution is antithetical to orthodox Christianity. I beg to differ -- as one who believes in creative evolution, I believe that creation is the *mechanism* by which God has created the human race.
