Atheistic naturalists love to caricature theists as fideistic hicks while presenting themselves as “enlightened neutralists.” But neutrality is a myth. Every worldview begins with unprovable axioms.
Naturalism itself fails its own “extraordinary evidence” test. It assumes causality, uniformity, and consciousness-from-matter without evidence. It treats logic, mathematics, and morality as brute facts that “just are.” Those are extraordinary claims with no explanatory ground.
It’s like a magician waving his hands to distract the audience—while the elephant behind the curtain is in plain sight. The elephant is the ungrounded assumptions naturalism hides behind.
This isn’t reason vs. faith. It’s competing foundations. One begins with an infinite rational mind, the other with unexplained matter. One grounds evidence, the other leaves it dangling.
